AOL Domain Migration FAQ
To assist you in this transition, we have created the following list of Frequently Asked Questions:
- How do I transfer my e-address (domain name) to eNom?
AOL sent each of its customers an email with instructions on how to complete the transfer of their e-address to eNom. The transfer process consists of 3 easy steps:
- Follow the "secure link to eNom’s Web site" from the email sent to you by AOL.
- Once you click on the secure link, fill out the form and create a new login ID.
- Enter your credit card details to complete the transfer of the domain.
- Will transferring my e-address (domain) to eNom affect my email service?
Transferring your domain to eNom will NOT affect your email service. You can continue to access your email from AOL.
- What services do I get when I transfer my eAddress domain to eNom?
By transferring ownership of your domain through this special program with eNom, you’ll have control of your domain name, and will also get a free three page template Web site, URL forwarding, and special discounts on Hosting, SSL, and Website Creation tools.
- How long will it take for my domain name to be transferred to eNom?
It will take 5 calendar days for the domain name to transfer to eNom. It is all automated with nothing further for you to do. You will receive an email confirmation once the domain is successfully transferred into your new eNomCentral account.
- What is the cost to transfer my domain to eNom?
AOL and eNom have arranged special pricing on domain transfers to AOL users. You can transfer your .com My e-address domain. You can continue to renew your domain for a low yearly cost. To find more specific details about your pricing, please contact sales or login to your eNomCentral account.
- Can I continue to create new email accounts through AOL?
Yes, you can continue to create new AOL email accounts after transferring your domain name to eNom. You will be able to create new email accounts through your AOL account, as before.
- I received an Error Message when completing the Transfer form. What happened?
This typically happens because the the login id you selected was already taken.
- Can I Transfer more domain name to my new eNom account?
Yes, you can transfer more names from other registrars to your new eNom account. We recommend doing this now as we have special pricing in place for Transfers of COM, NET, and ORG domain names.
- I received an email but there is no URL in my email.
Please contact eNom sales and we can request another email be resent to you.
- Can I change the registrant information on my domain? I want to add a company name?
Yes, once the domain is in your account, you can make changes and additions at any time.
- Once the domain is in my account, what website will I use to login?
Your new eNomCentral account is found at www.eNomCentral.com
